Photo Booth Setup Requirements: Space, Power, WiFi and Backyard Rules
Share
A photo booth or 360 video booth needs about a 10 x 10 ft space with access to power and WiFi. If you're setting up in a backyard, it has to be on a flat concrete surface, not on grass. Whether your event is in Houston, Katy, Sugar Land, Spring, or anywhere in between, here's a simple checklist to confirm your venue before the day.
Space
Plan on about 10 x 10 ft of clear floor. That's the area for the booth and for guests to step up and pose without crowding the walkway.
Power
The booth needs access to power. When you're choosing a spot, look for one near an outlet so we can set up without long cable runs across guest traffic.
WiFi
We need WiFi access at the setup location. Check with your venue ahead of time so it's ready when we arrive.
Backyard events: flat concrete only
If your event is in a backyard, the booth has to sit on a flat concrete surface, such as a patio or driveway area, not on grass. If you only have grass, ask your venue or host about a concrete area nearby before you book.
Quick pre-event checklist
- About 10 x 10 ft of clear space
- Power access nearby
- WiFi access at the location
- Flat concrete surface if you're outdoors in a backyard
