Booking a Photo Booth in Houston: What to Know Before You Reserve
Share
Booking a photo booth should be the easy part of planning your event. But if you've never done it before, the questions pile up fast. How much space does it need? How long should you book it for? When is your date actually locked in?
Here are straight answers to the questions Houston-area clients ask us most, so you can book with confidence.
How much space does a photo booth need?
Plan on about a 10x10 ft area, with access to power and WiFi. That applies to both our digital photo booth and our 360 video booth. Setting up outdoors or in a backyard? The booth needs to sit on flat concrete, not grass, so the platform and equipment stay stable and safe.
What's the difference between a digital photo booth and a 360 video booth?
A digital photo booth is the classic experience upgraded: unlimited digital pictures, instant social-ready sharing, custom overlays, a red carpet entrance, and glam backdrops in gold, silver, or black. Guests can walk up, pose, and send their photos straight to their phones.
A 360 video booth puts guests on a platform while the camera circles them, creating slow-motion clips that look like they came from a music video. It's the one guests line up for, and the clips are made to be posted.
Not sure which fits your crowd? Weddings and milestone birthdays often love both. Corporate mixers and school events tend to lean toward whichever matches the energy of the room.
How long should I book a booth for?
Our booth packages run from 2 to 5 hours. A good rule of thumb: book it for the part of the night when guests are most relaxed and moving around, not the quiet arrival hour. For a wedding, that usually means starting after the ceremony and photos, when the party gets going. If you're hosting a longer event, a longer package keeps the line moving without rushing anyone.
Can I add prints?
Yes. Digital photo booth packages can include printed photos as an add-on for guests who want a keepsake in hand. Every package already includes unlimited digital pictures, so nobody leaves empty-handed either way.
Do you serve my area?
From Houston to Katy, Sugar Land to Spring, and everywhere in between, we show up where the celebration is.
How do I lock in my date?
This is the one that catches people out. After you book, your date is only confirmed once the deposit is submitted. Without a deposit, the date isn't held, and it can be released to other clients. If you've found the date you want, submit the deposit to secure it.
A quick checklist before you book
- Measure a 10x10 ft spot with power and WiFi nearby.
- If you're outdoors, confirm there's a flat concrete surface.
- Pick the booth that matches your guests: classic photos, 360 video, or both.
- Choose a time window for when the party will be at its liveliest.
- Submit your deposit so the date is yours.
Booking a booth is really about booking a moment your guests will keep sharing. Get the details right up front, and you can enjoy your own event.
